As a solo traveller, River Palace was great. The area was quiet with good eateries, but, imnportantly, you are going to be 20 minutes from the center - if you like walking then this makes you see more of Rome - if you don't like walking you are literally three minutes from the subway and can get the subway into the Termini stop, or catch a bus. The bus stop for the Coliseum is on the right hand side by the pedestrian crossing - and that worked brilliantly. Hotel: rooms are very good - I upgraded to a double room as I wanted a bathtub - and they did that, no problems. Staff are excellent: helpful, careful, and genuinely sevice minded. Breakfast was good, but only 3* - cereals, a cooked breakfast, and ASK FOR COFFEE - you can get an espresso, cappucino etc; the coffee out is diner coffee, but the coffee from the waitress was good. I need extra pillows, and that was done. There is an extra duvet already in the room. The room has an adjustable thermostat, and I had a street room on the third floor with fully opening windows. Sky box with channels. The room as very clean, and it has a nice old world charm, which I prefer to modern boutique decoration, so all-in-all very happy.

Hotel primarily impressed us with its location, because it is a 2-minute walk from Piazza del Popoplo, as well as the Flaminio metro station. This means that you are e.g. on foot in 20 minutes to the Trevi Fountain or 30 minutes to the Pantheon. The hotel certainly justified its appearance with 4 stars because everything is as in the pictures, everything exudes the style of Rome. The breakfast is beyond expectations, as is the friendly staff ready for advice from 0-24 hours. The first two days were rainy, but the hotel is there for you with free umbrellas.

This hotel is well situated for travel to all the main sights in Rome. It is close to a metro but is also within walking distance of many central sights. It is comfortable & clean with excellent customer service. The staff are very helpful with information about sightseeing & restaurants. One member of staff, in particular (I was later told his name was Georgio) was extremely kind & patient with travel advice. We didn't have breakfast, so I can't comment on that. Great yellow marble bathroom & nice fluffy dressing gowns.

The hotel is very close to a metro stop, which was wonderful. It’s also right by Piazza del Popolo, where there were a lot of restaurants. It was a quick walk to the Trevi Fountain and Spanish steps. The breakfast had a great amount of options and tasted great. They have a cute little sitting area outside. The room was small, but comfortable and was made up each day. The hotel was very clean and mostly quiet. The staff gave us recommendations for dinner the first night and even called to hold a table for us.

The hotel is very well situated and within walking distance of lots of the city's attractions. The River Palace is very comfortable and spotlessly clean. It was warm and welcoming. It has a nice bar for a pre dinner drink or a digestif . The breakfast is very good and served in a pleasant room with linen tablecloths and napkins. The atmosphere is of a comfortable old fashioned family run establishment. I would certainly stay there again when visiting Rome.
